Huddersfield Town 1 Preston North End 2 - Match report on a third away victory in a row for PNE as Alan Browne scores twice
and live on Freeview channel 276
Browne struck in the 51st and 53rd minute at the John Smith's Stadium after Huddersfield had taken the lead early in the first half through Fraizer Campbell.
It was an end-to-end clash, especially in the second half as the hosts chased an equaliser and PNE caught them time and time again on the break.

Hide AdHuddersfield were reduced to 10 men in the 78th minute when Naby Sarr got a red card for pulling back the superb Emil Riis as he got clear on goal.
Riis was later to smash a shot against the underside of the bar, with the hosts also hitting the woodwork in the closing stages.
This was North End's third away win on the spin after the victories at Brentford and Queens Park Rangers, with them having collected all 10 of their Championship points on the road this season.
It was also their first win at this venue - they'd been visiting since 2000 - with their last victory on Huddersfield soil coming way back in 1992 at the Terriers' old Leeds Road ground.

Hide AdThe North End starting XI was unchanged from the one which beat Queens Park Rangers, although there was a change of formation.
Alex Neil went with a 3-5-2, Jordan Storey, Patrick Bauer and Andrew Hughes the three at the back.
Browne was in the right wing-back role, with Joe Rafferty on the left. Up front Riis had Scott Sinclair for company.
PNE were slow out of the blocks, there being a couple of close calls in their box even before Huddersfield opened the scoring in the eighth minute.

Hide AdLewis O'Brien threaded a low ball through the visitors' back line which Campbell ran on to and got there moments ahead of Declan Rudd to slide it under the Preston goalkeeper.
Campbell glanced a header across goal and wide of the far post soon after as the home side looked for a quick second.
North End started to get into their stride though, and began to look the more dangerous side.
Bauer met Ryan Led's corner from the right with a powerful header but saw his effort hit team-mate Browne and fly over.

Hide AdIn the 18th minute, Potts drove forward out of midfield and hit a right-foot shot from outside the box which only just cleared the bar.
Potts wasn't far away again after North End had worked the ball across the pitch from a Rafferty throw-in on the left.
Sinclair should have equalised just past the half-hour when he challenged with a ball in the air with Richard Stearman in the box.
The ball dropped and he spun first to meet it but his shot with the outside of his boot scuffed wide of the near post.

Hide AdRiis, impressive up front again, had a sight of goal in the 36th minute.
Ledson's cross field ball from left to right found him on the far side of the box, the Dane holding off his marker to get off a shot which a defender slid across to take behind for a corner.
Although North End mad mainly been on top since conceding, they needed a good save from Rudd to stop them going further behind with 38 minutes on the clock.
Right wing-back Pipa came inside from the channel and hit a curling left-foot shot which Rudd dived to his right to push away.

Hide AdPNE's first-half play had served notice that they were well in the game and they flipped it on its head with two goals in two minutes early in the second half.
Browne's finish for the equaliser in the 51st minute was excellent, the skipper curling a sweetly-struck right-foot shot across the keeper into the far corner after Potts had laid the ball into his path on the left-hand side of the box.
He was on the other side of the box to give his side the lead two minutes later, Rafferty's right-footed cross from the left creating it.
Goalkeeper Ben Hamer came to collect it but collided with a team-mate and dropped the ball.

Hide AdIt bounced into Browne's path who hooked a shot from the corner of the six-yard box into the unguarded net.
Riis wasn't far away from making it three when he romped away down the left channel, moved into the box and pulled the trigger, Richard Stearman's last ditch block taking it behind for a corner.
Huddersfield mounted plenty of pressure as they looked for an equaliser, with North End soaking it up and playing on the counter attack.
Tom Barkhuizen replaced Sinclair in the 72nd minute to help that approach, that Neil's first change of the afternoon.

Hide AdThe home side were reduced to 10 men in the 78th minute as PNE caught them on the break.
Riis chased a long ball down the left channel and as he went past Sarr, the big defender pulled him down.
With Sarr being the last man, referee Josh Smith had little choice but to produce the red card.
Riis could have wrapped it up in the 82nd minute having been played in behind the home defence but Hamer made a fine save from him.

Hide AdHuddersfield still looked dangerous with 10 men and in a chaotic finish there could have been goals at both ends.
Hamer denied Barkhuizen from close range after fine play from Riis had played him in right in front of goal.
At the other end, substitute Josh Koroma saw a shot hit the outside of the near post after he'd made room on the right hand side of the box.
Deep into stoppage-time, well beyond the five minutes signalled by the fourth official, Riis' solo run ended with his shot beating the keeper but crashing down off the underside of the bar.
