The Lilywhites host table-topping Norwich City this weekend, and will need to show a remarkable improvement if they're to secure a positive result against the Canaries.
Speaking to the Lancashire Post ahead of the game, interim head coach Frankie McAvoy revealed: “In terms of results and dealing with players, the buck stops with myself. The one thing about me is that I’m always open and always honest – I’m up front with people.
“I think people like that, I won’t make it more difficult to come and approach me. My job is to win games and I’ll do whatever is needed to achieve that.
“We’ve got a bubbly group of players, there’s always been a good camaraderie. It’s that team spirit we want to see continuing.”
As things stand, Preston are currently nine points clear of the relegation, but will be mindful that a few poor results could leave them in trouble, in an ever-unpredictable competition.
