Frankie McAvoy to go 'same again' for Preston North End's visit to Coventry City

Frankie McAvoy will go same again with Preston North End's squad for Saturday's Championship game against Coventry City.

PNE's interim head coach reported no fresh injuries from Tuesday night's 3-0 win over Derby County when he spoke to the media via Zoom on Thursday morning.

Daniel Johnson won't be available again, the midfielder having come off with a calf injury in McAvoy's first game in charge against Norwich City.

He's suffered a slight setback in his quest for fitness and won't be available this weekend.

McAvoy said: "It will be the exact same, the same squad of players to pick from.

"DJ has had a slight reoccurrence in the calf which has felt a bit uncomfortable for him .

"I don't want to rush him and the most important thing is that he is 100% fit.

"Other than that, everyone is okay."
