Robinson joined the Baggies on loan in January after finding first-team football hard to come by at United, helping the Hawthorns outfit win promotion to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has now made the move to the Hawthorns full-time, signing a five-year contract.

North End sold Robinson to Sheffield United in July 2019 for a reported £8m fee.

There was a sell-on clause inserted in the transfer deal for any future profit United might have made.

However, it is understood that the Blades have not made a profit on the fee they paid for PNE.

Robinson told WBA's official website: "I can’t wait to get going.

"Discussions were taking place over the summer but these things take time. I’m thankful it has all been completed and I’m really happy to be back here.

"I really enjoyed my loan spell last season. The club is a fantastic place to be. It has a real family feel to it. The players, the staff, the fans. Everybody.

"I was fortunate enough to help Albion win promotion to the Premier League and I’m so excited to have the chance to play for this club in the Premier League."
