Former Preston North End keeper is guest of honour at city’s football reunion night

Former PNE goalkeeper David Lucas will be the special guest at the fourth Annual Preston Football Reunion will take place at St Anthony’s Club, Cadley Causeway on Friday, March 6 (8pm).

It will be an informal get-together for anyone and everyone who has been involved in the Preston local football leagues, Saturday or Sunday in times gone by.

It is open to ex-players, former referees, club officials or anyone who has been involved with or supported grass roots football in Preston.

So, why not get in touch with your old team-mates and bring them along to St Anthony’s where they will made be more than welcome.

The guest of honour – former Preston goalkeeper Lucas – made more than 300 appearances in the Football League, including 123 for North End.

Lucas will be chatting about his time at Deepdale in an impressive career that included spells at Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City plus caps for England at Under-18s and Under-20s levels.

The admission price of £5 includes pie and peas, and all proceeds be donated to Vine House Cancer Day-Care Centre and to Preston Schools’ Football Association, “Supporting the next generation of Preston footballers”.
