Preston North End transfer news: Former Lilywhites star lined up for return, West Ham remain keen on Blackburn Rovers striker

Here are all the best from today’s Championship transfer news.

Preston North End’s Brad Potts has spoken on a turbulent season with the club last time out.

The midfielder struggled to force his way into Frankie McAvoy’s starting XI at the start of the campaign and was used in an unfamliar position when he did start.

The 28-year-old struggled for form and was the subject of ‘abuse’ from fans prior to McAvoy’s departure in November.

Potts was somewhat revitalised under Ryan Lowe and is now looking to step up again this season.

He told the Lancashire Post: “I’m hoping it’s a bit more normal! It was tough until the manager came in, he gave me confidence and believe in me and I think the fans started believing in me to be honest.

“That helps me massively when I’m on the pitch. I was stuck in a rut before and I couldn’t get out of it.

“I was playing with zero confidence, which no player can go out there with really, but it was up to me to change it.

“I was happy with how the last six months went but I want to push on from here.”
