The Preston-born winger, 18, came through the PNE academy and has made two first-team appearances as a substitute previously.

It was a completely changed side to the one which started Friday's 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.

Those who started at Bramall Lane were on the bench for the visit to the blue half of Merseyside.

Although Everton were missing a number of players because of international duty, they were still able to include the Premier League quality of Richarlison,Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Theo Walcott and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
