Early kick-off for Preston North End's visit to Stoke City to avoid clash with Prince Philip's funeral

Preston North End's Championship clash with Stoke City on Saturday will have an earlier kick-off to avoid a clash with Prince Philip's funeral.

Their visit to the bet365 Stadium now kicks-off at 12.30pm having initially been scheduled for a tradition 3pm start.

The funeral for His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, takes place at 3pm in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, with a national minute's silence beforehand.

All sporting events scheduled for 3pm have been moved.
