Alex Neil’s men are currently 15th in the table, 14 points off the play-off places after taking a point from Bournemouth last weekend.

A run of just one win in five Championship matches has left any hopes of promotion looking fairly faint this season.

By comparison, Wycombe have lost their last four matches on the bounce, and are currently rooted to the foot of the table having been beaten 1-0 by QPR in midweek.

Wanderers are now 12 points adrift of safety with 11 games left to play.

And Prutton believes that Preston will pile more misery on the Chairboys this weekend.

The Sky Sports pundit forecasts a 1-0 win for North End.

Neil’s men played out a 2-2 draw with Wycombe in the Championship earlier this season, but were soundly beaten 4-1 by Wanderers in the FA Cup at the beginning of January.
