Coventry City v Preston North End team news: One change for PNE as Sean Maguire comes into the Lilywhites side

Sean Maguire came into the Preston North End team for their Championship clash with Coventry City at St Andrew's.

The Republic of Ireland striker replaced Greg Cunningham in the starting XI, Cunningham dropping to the bench.

Otherwise PNE interim head coach Frankie McAvoy stuck with the team which had beaten Derby County 3-0 last Tuesday night.

Maguire was to partner Ched Evans up front, with Tom Barkhuizen moving to left wing-back.

It is Maguire's first start since the 1-0 defeat at Wycombe on March 13.

This is PNE's second visit to St Andrew's this year, having beaten Birmingham City here 1-0 in January.

Coventry have lodged with the Blues for the last two seasons but this is their penultimate game as lodgers with them moving back to the Ricoh Arena for the 2021/22 campaign..
