There were over a 1,000 people in the away end at Fratton Park last Saturday as they witnessed a 3-1 defeat. When the international break is over, PNE have a home match against Derby County, but there are trips to Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, and QPR before Christmas.
We’ve managed to collate the figures of all 24 clubs in the Championship and put them into a table. Swansea have the lowest average away following this season in the division with an average of 763 supporters following their team on the road. Millwall are in the bottom three with them and neither they nor Swansea average a four figure away following. Watford are the final team in the bottom three with 1,036 supporting them away.
At the opposite end of the table, it comes as no surprise that Leeds United top the table. They tend to take a large away following to most grounds, and have 2,658 in attendance at each away match.

Sheffield United, Coventry City, Sunderland, and Sheffield Wednesday make up the top six. All four teams have an average of over 2,000 and already the Blades, and the Black Cats have visited Deepdale.
