Bristol City took the lead in the first half through Chris Martin who finished off a move after receiving a weighted ball into the box.
North End drew level through Emil Riis, poaching a rebound after Cameron Archer’s shot.
Semenyo got the Robins back in front, another neat ball into the box finished off, this time at the near post.
But in the final minute of stoppage time North End got a leveller. Ali McCann made a goal saving tacklt one end, Alan Browne set Brad Potts on is way and Emil Riis volleyed in his cross.
