LIVE: PNE vs Barnsley

McCann at wing back

It seems that it will be Ali McCann ar right wing back rather than Alan Browne, as we had previously guessed.

Johnson collects a loose ball in the Barnsley half, lays it wide for Earl but gets it back from the wing back although he can’t keep his effort down.

Silky from the skipper

Alan Browne shows lovely feet as he turns his man on halfway and begins a PNE break, picking out Johnson very well.

Earl’s cross is too close to the ‘keeper but Browne has started very brightly.

Emil Riis gets enough time to size up the goal but he drags his effort wide.

Morris heads at goal but his effort comes off the top of the crossbar and is claimed in the end by Iversen.

A warning for PNE who have been the ones asking the questions so far...

Another cross into the box and another header won by the Tykes, this time skipper Woodrow nods over relatively unopposed.

Whiteman’s corner is cleared back to him and his second cross is met by Hughes unmarked but the defender aims past the post.

Cauley Woodrow is booked for a sliding tackle on Earl.

Big chance for PNE!

Sean Maguire is played in behind the defence and seems caught in two minds, delaying long enough for a defender to cover with Riis alongside.

There will be one minute added onto the end of the first half.
