Maguire is played through on goal down the left side of the box, he shoots on his left foot but it’s back off the crossbar.

North End recycle possession and Whiteman’s curling effort does too much from the right side and beats the far post.

Johnson plays a beautiful ball into the area for Maguire, he looks for the far post but just misses the target. Jordan Storey was near to it but wasn’t quite following in.

There will be two more minutes added onto the end of the first half.

The first half ends goalless, with the home side having the better of the opening of the game and North End coming to life as the half came to a close.

Sean Maguire has come closest to opening the scoring, hitting the crossbar and firing just wide shortly after but he could not break the deadlock.

Massengo latches onto a loose ball and volleys just right of centre with Iversen just getting a hand to it to tip it over the bar.

Ben Whiteman is booked for a foul on Massengo.

Riis plays a brilliant ball out wide to Earl whose low cross is first met by Maguire and Johnson is in on the follow up but can’t scramble it home.
