Preston North End attacker Callum Robinson makes his Republic of Ireland debut


Robinson qualifies to play for the Emerald Isle through his late grandmother and has switched to play for them after featuring at four age levels for England.
After playing in a testimonial for the Irish against Celtic in May, the 23-year-old was handed a competitive debut in Wales.

Hide AdHe started the game playing in a wide role before moving more central, Robinson's one sight of goal in the first half ending with him shooting over the bar.
In the second half he put a header too high.
Robinson was substituted in the 76th minute, replaced by former PNE winger Daryl Horgan.
