North End got the highest score – 9 out of 10 – out of the four divisional winners.

Reviewing The One and Only, Sports Trader said: “A very thick bumper packed programme with a striking front cover from a previous match.

“Blue and white for added effect, hard-backed cover and easy on the eye, the layout of this programme deserves a mention.”

North End club secretary and head of communications Ben Rhodes, is editor of The One and Only – a 100-page publication.

Rhodes said: “We are delighted to be given this accolade.

“Considering the very small media team we have here, to be recognised for our output is fantastic.

“We have some great content from our regular contributors, including club historian Ian Rigby and our two eager UCLan students, Adam Cloney and Matthew Brown, some of which is quite unique.

“We try to produce engaging articles that will interest fans of all ages.

“Modern-day programmes cannot compete with social media in terms of immediacy of news.

“What we can provide is a different insight into the club and in particular the players and that is what we try to achieve.

“The real positive is the feedback we get from fans, who still say it is an important part of their matchday ritual.

“We will continue to try and provide a value for money, quality product for them.”
