PNE in numbers: Robinson represents North End's progress

After three loan spells from Aston Villa, his permanent arrival in the summer wasn’t met with universal approval.

Fast forward to March though and having been handed his first start against Derby in the fourth game of the campaign, the 22-year-old has since amassed 39 appearances in total meaning he’s spent 2,742 minutes on the pitch.

That puts him fourth in the team standings, Tom Clarke continuing to lead the way with 3,489 from Greg Cunningham and goalkeeper Chris Maxwell.

The skipper has only made one appearance more than Robinson but PNE’s marathon man regularly goes the full distance at the heart of the defence.

Robinson has played 90 minutes 16 times in total this campaign, often giving way in the second half either after a strong performance or as Grayson looks to shake things up.

He is an emerging player in an emerging team, though, his ability to adapt to a central striking role and the nine goals he has to his name showing just what progress he’s made.

The best thing for Lilywhites fans is he isn’t the only one.

Whether North End make the play-offs or not progress is certainly being made and the best thing is that this group of players can only get better.
