Morecambe under a National League embargo for the second time in less than a year
Morecambe have been placed under embargo by the National League for reported non-compliance with league financial regulations.
The competition’s website says the embargo was enforced last Friday, February 27.

Embargoed clubs are prevented from signing a new player or changing the terms of an existing loan, except where the terms of the embargo allow.
It is the second sanction of the campaign for the Shrimps, who had been placed under a registration embargo last July for the same reason while under Bond Group’s ownership.
In response, the Shrimps Trust fans’ group posted a statement on X which read: “We are naturally concerned by this development and will be seeking further information from all relevant parties.
“We will update fans and members when possible.”
Morecambe have been approached for a response to the embargo.
The club has, however, confirmed the loan departure of central defender Alie Sesay, who has joined National League North side Radcliffe FC until the end of the season.
