Morecambe players earn manager's praise

Hide AdIt was the second game in a row where they had overturned a deficit, having been 3-1 and a man down before drawing 3-3 with Colchester United a week-and-a-half ago.


Their powers of recovery left Adams saying he was delighted with his side’s efforts, going into consecutive home matches against Notts County and Bradford City.
He said: “The spirit among the team is there for all to see.
“Fleetwood will be disappointed because they could have been out of sight – but we never gave up and to do what we did again after the Colchester game was magnificent.”

Hide AdAdams made four changes at half-time with Fleetwood two goals up – having created a host of chances – and saw his tactical switch pay off.
He said: “I had to make changes because Fleetwood were getting too much success and we looked too open, which is unlike us.
“We also went a bit more direct and that paid off.
“There was still room for improvement with some of our final balls but we kept at it and got a really good point.”
