Kendal took the lead with their first attack of the match when a Gavin Clark effort somehow squirmed through the hands of Brig keeper Lloyd Rigby.

The home side doubled their lead soon after when Steve Yawson hit a 25 yard screamer in to the roof of the net. Despite creating numerous chances, Brig went in at half-time two goals behind.

Worse was to follow when Brad Carsley missed from the penalty spot shortly after half-time.

On 70 minutes, Brig pulled one back. A through ball to the right of the area saw Lewis Nightingale race into the space and tuck a fine shot across the keeper into the bottom corner. The equaliser arrived soon after when Michael Potts duly smashed home from eight yards.

Tails up Brig went in search of the winner but unbelievably on a rare Kendal attack they were awarded a penalty and Ric Seear secured the win.
