Comeback win is a shot in the arm for Magpies’ boss Andy Preece
Chorley showed ‘what they are made of’ after coming from behind to beat Scarborough Athletic 2-1 on Saturday at Victory Park.
That’s the view of boss Andy Preece who watched his team pick up a second successive National League North victory following Tuesday night’s 2-0 success at Marine.

It means the Magpies have responded in the best way possible after losing their opening couple of fixtures to Chester and South Shields.
They had to do it the hard way on Saturday after slipping a goal behind after the hour mark.
However, a fine finish from a narrow angle from Harvey Smith restored parity and captain Mike Calveley scored the winner with a header from a corner.

"The league is relentless,” Preece told Chorley FC TV. “It’s so difficult to to win a game especially from behind.
"It was a really good goal that Scarborough scored. It was a bit of clever play which opened us up and then Rio Allen with a good finish coming in off that right side which he does so well.
"We are tested again to show what we are made of and we came back, we came back strong.
"That was probably our best passage of play after their goal.
"They probably had a few chances towards the end when they were throwing bodies forward, but we could have had a couple of goals on the breakaway.
"So I am really delighted. We have been tested in a different way but to get three points against Scarborough will be a good three points come the end of the season.”
Preece – whose side travel to Merthyr Town on Saturday – had a special word of praise for the goalscorers.
"The stalwarts – the lads who have been here year in, year out, got the goals,” he said.
"I thought they were magnificent, although alongside many others. I thought it was hard to pick a man of the match – it was a real team effort.”
