Chorley Ladies FC picked up a well-deserved three points in a 2-1 win at home to Hull City

The hosts were the better team throughout, with some resolute defending from front to back.

Hull, against the run of play took the lead, when a cross drifted into the top corner.

The resilient spirit shown by Chorley forced a quick equaliser as a cross was expertly finished into the bottom corner by Kathy Bonner for her first goal of the season.

The ladies were lifted, and waves of attacks by Jen King and Scarlett Smith had the Tigers on the back foot. Solid 
defending at the other end 
ensured the hosts were on top and this all round team 
performance was rewarded in the 65th minute.

Smith raced onto a through ball and slotted in at the near post to make it 2-1.

Chorley’s dominance continued and the scoreline could have been increased.

Smith and Kerry Nickson both hit the post late on, while there was a good save from the Hull keeper.

A defensively sound 
performance was rewarded as Chorley saw out the game for the win.
