On paper, the Magpies should have too much quality when the travel to face Peterborough Sport, who are two levels below them in the football pyramid.

However, the Turbines are a club on the rise and currently lie in third spot in the Southern League First Division Central, having won four and drawn one of their first five league games.

And Magpies boss Jamie Vermiglio believes his team are in for tough afternoon when they head to Cambridgshire.

The match is being screened live on the BBC red button, website and app and kicks-off at 12.30pm

“I think on paper, getting Peterborough Sports looks like a good draw for us,”
Vermiglio said.

“They are from a couple of leagues below us, but they are a team which is up and coming.

“They have got a big budget and are well backed financially.

“They went to Boston in the last round and ground out a great win there. They will be no rollover.”

“I think it will be a bigger test for us than Leek who we played in the last round, especially with the distance which we have to travel.”

Chorley saw their lead at the top of the National League North cut from nine to seven on Saturday after they were held 0-0 at home by Chester.

“It was probably one of the toughest games we have had,” Vermiglio said. “I think we are happy to come away with a draw against a good side who have hit a bit of form.”
