Tony Mowbray was unveiled as Owen Coyle’s successor this morning but Jansen says it is one for the future as he concentrates on ‘finishing the job’ at Victory Park and clinching promotion to the National League.
Chorely are fourth in the National League North table and with the Magpies flying high the former Rovers striker was listed as 33/1 for the vacant managerial post at the Championship club.
Jansen is still a fan favourite at Ewood Park having netted 24 times as Rovers won promotion to the Premier League in the 2000-01 season and scored the first goal in the 2-1 League Cup final win over Tottenham at the Millennium Stadium in 2002.
But the 39-year-old, who is currently in his second season as Chorley boss after taking over from another former Rover Garry Flitcroft in 2015, says it is a job he would consider in the future as he concentrates on the task in hand and getting the Magpies up to the National League.

The ex-Carlisle forward said: “It would be a dream to manage Blackburn, it is a club that I love and still follow avidly.
“In an ideal world it would be something I’d consider in the future.
“I was flattered by the speculation but I am 100 percent committed to Chorley and I want to finish the job I’ve started and get promotion.”
