Chorley boss Andy Preece hopes for good news regarding absent duo
Chorley boss Andy Preece is hopeful the new year will bring some good news on the injury front.
The Magpies have been without key forwards – Kole Hall and Jack Sampson – for much of this season.

Indeed, Hall has yet to play a single minute this campaign due to an unspecified health condition.
The experienced Sampson, meanwhile, has managed just 14 appearances so far after an injury-plagued few months.
However, Preece revealed both could be in line for a return soon in 2026.
"They are the two key ones,” said Preece. “If we could get back one of those then it will make a difference.
"I think we have seen the big difference Sampo makes when he has played this season.
"Obviously, we have been missing Kole Hall for the whole season and when you think the form that he was in last season.
"The news on Kole is really positive and we just that little tick in the box so he can resume training then hopefully he could be fit late January and I think Sampo is around the same timeline.
"I think we just need to give him that little bit extra time to recover.”
