Chester 0 Morecambe 1: Shrimps make it back-to-back wins as Lewis strikes
Morecambe made it two wins from two games over the bank holiday weekend as a second-half Paul Lewis header gave them an impressive three points against previously unbeaten Chester.
Lewis headed home a pinpoint Jake Cain free-kick on 52 minutes for his first goal of the season to secure a battling victory.

Shrimps boss Adam Lakeland named the same side that beat Telford with the only change seeing Lewis Leigh return to the bench.
The home side enjoyed the greater share of possession from the start with former Shrimps’ midfielder Makel Campbell looking to get on the ball in midfield. It was left-winger Jefferson Abreu who carried the most threat though, with several dangerous crosses causing the Shrimps a few nervous moments.
Morecambe themselves looked a threat on the counter with Liam Hogan heading a left-wing cross wide before the Shrimps almost snatched the lead in injury time when Teddy Collis went close with virtually the last touch of the half.
The second half started with the Shrimps quickly out of the blocks as Lewis opened the scoring and from there the home side struggled to break down a resolute Morecambe defence.
In the final moments Campbell fired over a free-kick from a good position before Dan Ward curled a last-minute effort inches wide.
Billy Waters had a great chance to level in injury time but volleyed well wide as the Shrimps kept their first clean sheet of the season.
