Brig slipped to fifth in the table after losing 2-1 at Prescot Cables, who leapfrogged above them in the table.
The visitors were undone by a last-minute goal and now have three games to try to move back above Prescot to secure home advantage in the NPL First Division North play-offs.
The two teams are almost certain to face each other in the semi-finals of the end-of-season lottery and Reynolds believes his men should take great confidence from the way they performed in midweek despite the result.
“The work ethic, the desire, the togetherness, the tempo, the quality on the ball was all there on Tuesday night,” said Reynolds.

“We haven’t won – it wasn’t our night, but they are not going to look forward to playing us.
“Full credit to Prescot they are in the play-offs now, but we’ll be back and we’ll have our time again.”
Brig travel to Ossett Albion this weekend and Reynolds has urged his men to focus on the positives and build some momentum to take them into the play-offs.
He added: “If we play like we did against Prescot until the end of the season, whenever that may be.
“The positives far outweigh the negatives and what will be crucial now is the togetherness.
“We’ll get ready to go again against Ossett Albion.”
