Brig boss Crowe is eager to end on a high in top 10

Brig are 13th in the table with four games left to go, and after back-to-back defeats, Crowe is keen to end the season on a high note when they host Ossett Town tonight.

He said: “Obviously we want to win every game we possibly can.

“We’ve have had a lot of games over the last few weeks, we’ve played three games over five days and these lads are working aswell, and so it is impossible to perform to our best.

“With the squad we have some of the lads have been playing all the time.

“But we want to finish the season as high as possible, get in the top 10 and end on a high.”

The Brig boss says his men did not deserve to lose their last two games against Glossop North End (3-2) and Spennymoor Town (1-0).

And says that individual errors costing them vital points has been the story of their season.

He said: “To be honest I thought we did very well against Spennymoor with the players we had available.

“The goal was another individual error and we had chances and should have at least got a point.

“Curtis Thompson got a head injury against Spennymoor and will miss the game.

“Glenn Steel is injured and Paul Alexander is 50/50.

“We are down to the bare bones and we went up there on Saturday and had Reno and three young lads on the bench.

“We lost to Glossop when we should have had a at least got a point and the story of our season has been individual mistakes costing us.”

And Crowe is not underestimating relegation threatened Ossett.

He said: “They made it hard for us at their place and they are scrapping for their lives which will give them an extra incentive.

“There are no easy games in this division.”
