10. Green-fingered youngsters have created a wildlife area at St Joseph's RC Primary School in Rigby Street, Preston. A pond was created and trees and shrubs planted, and the children hoped animals would make the area their home. The project was done with the help of the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.

11. Dancers at Highfield School of Dancing in Hoghton prepare for their Dance Crazy charity concert at the Charter Theatre in Preston. They were raising money for Derian House.
