Here's what the original Hear’Say members have been doing since the band split, plus where to see one of them perform before the reunion.

When Hear'Say burst onto the music scene in 2001, the band became an overnight sensation after being formed on ITV talent show Popstars.

Their debut single, Pure and Simple, shot straight to number one, and fans quickly fell in love with the group, which included Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Myleene Klass, Noel Sullivan and Danny Foster.

But their success was relatively short-lived as the group split in 2002. The five original members went on to pursue very different careers, from acting and television presenting to musical theatre and soul music.

Now, more than two decades later, four of the original members are preparing to reunite for the Popstars: The Originals tour with fellow noughties favourites Liberty X, who also formed through ITV talent show Popstars.

The tour, which will take place in April and May 2027, will bring the two groups together on stage for the first time, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the show that launched their careers. Myleene Klass will not be joining the reunion due to other commitments.

So, what exactly have all of the original Hear’Say members been up to in the last 25 years? Find out all you need to know below, plus where you can see one of them perform live ahead of the eagerly anticipated reunion.

What happened to Kym Marsh after Hear'Say?

Kym Marsh was already an aspiring singer before appearing on Popstars, but her time in Hear'Say marked the beginning of a long career in entertainment.

After leaving the group in 2002, she launched a solo music career, with her debut single Cry reaching number two in the UK charts.

She later found even greater success as an actress, joining Coronation Street in 2006 as Michelle Connor. She spent more than a decade on the soap before leaving in 2019 and has since appeared in other television dramas, including Waterloo Road.

She has also presented programmes, such as BBC One’s Morning Live, and appeared on reality TV shows, such as Strictly Come Dancing.

The 50-year-old star, has been married and divorced three times and has three children and two grandchildren. She was first married to Eastender’s actor Jack Ryder (2002 to 2008), and then Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas (2012 to 2014). Her third husband was army major Scott Ratcliff (2021 to 2023).

Her eldest two children, David and Emilie, aged 31 and 29 respectively, are with her ex-partner Dave Cuncliffe. They each have a child, making Marsh and grandma.

She also shares a 15-year-old daughter Polly with Lomas. The pair had also welcomed a son called Archie in 2009 who was stillborn.

In March this year, she got engaged to boyfriend Tom Dickinson, a senior commercials manager she met on a dating app last year.

What happened to Suzanne Shaw after Hear'Say?

Suzanne Shaw was another member who continued to work in entertainment after the band split.

She went on to build a career in musical theatre, appearing in productions including Summer Holiday and The Rocky Horror Show, as well as Chicago.

She also appeared on reality TV and took part in Dancing on Ice in 2008, winning the competition with professional skater Matt Evers.

One of her most well-known TV roles was in Emmerdale as Eve Jenson (2010 to 2011).

The 45-year-old star has two sons; she shares 21-year-old son Corey with actor and singer Darren Day and Rafferty, aged 11 with former fiancé Sam Greenfield. Suzanne also became a grandma earlier this year as her eldest son had a baby boy in March.

She was previously married to DJ and television presenter Jason King (2009 to 2012), and had been with Sam Greenfield for 12 years before their separation in January.

What happened to Noel Sullivan after Hear'Say?

Noel Sullivan also moved into musical theatre after Hear'Say disbanded. He appeared in productions including Fame and Grease, later making his West End debut in Grease in 2009. He also appeared in We Will Rock You and toured in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

In 2017 Noel, now aged 46, announced he had married his long-term partner, choreographer James Bennett. The pair live together in France.

What happened to Myleene Klass after Hear'Say?

After Hear'Say, Myleene Klass, now aged 48, established herself as a presenter, working across television and radio, including programmes such as BBC’s The One Show and various entertainment and lifestyle shows, including ITV’s Loose Women.

She has also pursued her musical background, performing as a classical musician and releasing music. Her solo album, Moving On, which included reworked versions of popular classical pieces, peaked at Number 2 in the UK Classical Charts.

Myleene also famously took part in the sixth series of ITV's I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here! in 2006. She finished in second place behind Matt Willis, but was known for wearing a white bikini, which she later sold and donated the money to good causes. 17 years later, in 2023, she returned to the jungle to take part in I'm a Celebrity. . . South Africa. She was ultimately crowned the first I'm a Celebrity Legend.

The star is a mum of three. She shares her two daughters, Ava, 19, and 15-year-old Hero with her ex-husband Graham Quinn, who had been a bodyguard for Hear’Say and was in a relationship with Myleene for 10 years overall.

She also has her seven-year-old son Apollo with fiancé Simon Motson, who is a PR executive and director, she met on a blind date. Myleene has also suffered also several miscarriages, which she has spoken about publicly.

What happened to Danny Foster after Hear'Say?

Danny Foster took a different route after the band split, stepping away from the pop spotlight altogether before returning to music with a focus on soul.

He went on to form Danny Foster and The Big Soul Corporation, a live show celebrating soul, Motown and funk classics. He co-formed the group with his wife of 10 years, and partner of more than 20, Victoria Goddard.

Danny has also explored meditation and personal development, reflecting interests beyond his music career.

The 47-year-old did attempt to return to the music scene in 2013 when he auditioned for The Voice UK with his own soul version of the Spice Girls hit "Wannabe", but was not chosen by any of the judges.
