Aldi is known for its bargain candle range, after the sell out success of its £3.99 faux 'Jo Malone' collection. Now gin fans can get in on the action, as the discount supermarket is set to bring back its much-loved gin scented candles.

The candles have notes of juniper and come in four different fruity scents - raspberry, vanilla and coconut, juniper and lime, and rhubarb.

Whether used whilst entertaining friends, unwinding in a bath, or adding a relaxing element to your night-time routine, the candles’ high quality wax will ensure a long-lasting, clean burn. The candles would also make an ideal gift for the gin connoisseur in your life.

New Eidyn gin

Aldi recently added a new gin to its range - Eidyn gin, made in collaboration with Edinburgh's Old Curiosity distillery.

The spirit is a premium gin but with an affordable price tag of £19.99 per bottle.

Eidyn (pronounced ee-din), named after the Scottish Gaelic for Edinburgh, has been developed exclusively for Aldi by The Old Curiosity Distillery, which is located outside of the city below the Pentland Hills. The distillery is part of the Secret Herb Garden, and was developed by owners Hamish and Liberty Martin in 2017.

Eidyn has been blended with lemon thyme and lemon balm botanicals which produce fresh citrus notes followed by a crisp juniper finish. The eye-catching bottle features a striking turquoise and gold label, and is etched with key herbs and botanicals featured in the liquid.
