YOUR WEDDING: Amy Zitnik and David Dargan

When David Dargan and Amy Zitnik were planning their big day they wanted their three boys to be at the centre of the occasion.

And that meant a Lego theme, including figures dotted around the room, a table plan made from Lego and and the colourful bricks on their wedding cake too.

A day of celebration was what the couple wanted – and it turned out to be everything they could have wished for.

Sons Ashton, Roman and Leo played a vital part in the ceremony too.

At just nine years old, Ashton took the role of best man, making a superb speech with plenty of jokes and funny anecdotes, and the Hoover from home even made an appearance!

Roman and Leo made an impromptu speech, as well as being the ring bearers.

The couple first met in the Hayrick Pub in Leyland where Dave, a vehicle delivery driver, was landlord.

Their first date was at The Retreat in Bolton in 2012, followed by a date at KFC in Chorley with Amy’s two boys.

“When he proposed, he took me and the boys on a mystery day out to London at Christmas,” said Amy, who is originally from Ambleside.

“He got down on one knew underneath the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square and proposed.

“The day was extra special because the boys were there to see it – even Leo was there as I was seven months’ pregnant with him.”

The wedding took place at Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn, and a move from tradition brought a speech from the bride’s mum Lynda, who thanked all for and sharing what was a very special day.

The evening reception was kicked off with a first dance with a difference – starting with a slow dance Always & Forever by Luther Vandross which morphed into Scream by Usher – bringing the bridesmaids, Amy’s brothers and Ashton onto the dance floor to perform a ‘flash dance’ – to the amazement and enjoyment of all the guests.

The bride is a full time mum and the groom is originally from Stockport. They now live in Buckshaw Village, Chorley.
