A spokesman from Preston Guild Hall said they did not know when the shows would be rescheduled for.

A statement from World of Sport said: “The WOS wrestling live show dates in May are being rescheduled as a result of on-going contract negotiations between the co-producers Impact Sport and ITV.

“The new dates for the shows at Preston Guild Hall will be announced in due course. All those who bought tickets will receive a refund and will have the opportunity for priority booking for the rescheduled dates.

“The hope was that we would be able to bring wrestling back for the fans as soon as this summer. That was a very ambitious timescale and unfortunately we just aren’t able to make it work. Both partners are committed to this project and are working together to move things forward as soon as possible.”
