Preston weekend weather: Here’s when heavy rain will hit

Saturday is expected to see the worst of the weather, but there will be some drier and cloudier spells over the next couple of days.

Friday will see a mixture of cloudy conditions and sunny spells throughout the day. The temperature will reach its peak of 8C by 2pm, and remain so throughout the rest of the afternoon.

The evening will be cloudy, but dry. Overnight temperature of 4C.

Saturday (7 March)

Saturday will see light rain hit from 8am until around 1pm. It will then be overcast throughout the rest of the afternoon.

The temperature will reach its peak of 10C by 1pm, remaining so throughout the afternoon.

Saturday evening will see light rain hit from 5pm onwards, turning heavy at 6pm and remaining so throughout the rest of the evening. Overnight temperature of 7C.

Sunday (8 March)

Sunday will see light showers hit Preston from 6am onwards, continuing throughout the day and into the evening, interspersed by some sunnier spells.

The temperature will reach its peak of 9C by 12pm and remain so throughout the rest of the afternoon.

Overnight temperature of 6C.

The Met Office forecast for the North West for Sunday to Tuesday explains that it will be “cloudy with blustery showers on Sunday and some brightness. Drier to start Monday, but it will likely turn wet later. Tuesday looks windy once more, with some hefty showers around.”
