On its sun-soaked lawns, families made the most of the fine summer weather with picnics and games of cricket and frisbee, whilst others cruised happily around on their bikes.
Some enjoyed a more meditative afternoon nestled in the shade, with one painter capturing the scene on canvas, whilst others soaked up the rays or strolled along the riverside.
