Forecasters at the BBC say it may finally be time to put your big coats and sledges away with temperatures in the area expected to climb to the high teens by Wednesday, April 18.

Residents may be able to enjoy highs of 19º C on Wednesday and Thursday next week, with Preston expected to be as hot as Venice.
