Bin collection changes announced in Preston due to heatwave
Preston bin collections times have been changed due to the hot weather this week...
Waste and recycling crews will be collecting from 6am today (Wednesday, June 24) and for the rest of this week.
Preston City Council said this is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff working in the heat, with temperatures predicted to reach between 30C and 35C.
Crews will also be provided with caps and water and are able to take extra hydration breaks.
