Warning after rubbish blaze spreads to fencing on Preston estate
Firefighters issued a warning after a rubbish blaze at the rear of shops in Preston spread to the fence of a nearby house.
Youths are believed to have started the fire in Burnsall Place, behind shops on the Brookfield estate, around 6:30 pm yesterday.
A fire brigade spokesman said: “It spread to fence panels and had the potential to spread to buildings had it been any closer.”
Two crews from Preston took 15 minutes to extinguish the fire using a hose reel.
