Volunteering is good for your Elf
A Preston charity is searching for volunteers to help run Santa’s Grotto at the city’s St George’s Shopping Centre this year - pointy ears not required!
Galloway’s Society for the Blind, which provides advice, support and services to local blind and partially sighted people across Lancashire, have been given the opportunity to run the grotto within the shopping centre and need kind-hearted volunteers to take part in their Elf Academy to help the big man himself make a note of what Preston’s good little girls and boys are putting on their Christmas list.

Hide AdEmma Russ, senior fund-raiser at Galloway’s commented, “We are currently on the search for some fantastic people to be part of our team of Elves for the month of December.
“Full Elf training will be provided by our team and if Elf-ing is not your thing Galloway’s will also be offering a gift wrapping services that will also need volunteers to support.
“There’s a lot going on throughout the whole month and if you think you could help, then please get in touch. Just a few hours will make a huge difference to us.”
The grotto, which will be open on various days throughout December, will offer a visit to Santa and a chance to purchase a souvenir photograph.
