Video: Body found in Barrow house fire
Police have found the body of a woman trapped inside a house in Barrow.

Firefighters and police were called to Whalley Road, Barrow, at 5-20 am today after reports of a blaze.
A man, who managed to escape the property, was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

“A joint investigation between Lancashire Constabulary and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is underway following a house fire at an address in Clitheroe.
“Police were called by the Fire Service at shortly after 5-35 am to an address on Whalley Road. A man in his 80s was recovered from the property and taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
“Sadly, a woman aged 84 was found deceased in the house. Inquiries are on-going to try to establish the cause of the fire and this could take some time.”
DI Marie Howarth from Blackburn CID added: “The investigation is very much in its early stages and so will be working closely with the Fire Service to determine exactly how this fire has started.”
