Political, educational and civic leaders from across the North West have also added their voices to calls for the government to announce the funding for the project in tomorrow's budget.

A recent online community conversation hosted by Eden Project North revealed a more detailed look at how the inside of one of the Mussel shaped biomes in Morecambe could look.

David Harland, chief executive of Eden Project International, told youth representatives from the Morecambe Bay area that the image represented a visitor experience idea called The Rhythm Machine, which focusses on the changing seasons and the tide.

"Our track record in Cornwall shows that Eden Projects can return economic impact far outweighing their cost and our firm belief is that Eden Project North will be a key driver of the Government’s levelling-up agenda and a post-Covid green recovery for the north.”
