UPDATE: 20-year-old man was hit by train
The family of a man hit by a train this morning in Clitheroe have been informed of his death.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the deceased is believed to be a 20-year-old man."
Emergency services were called to the track half a mile away from the Low Moor level crossing on Eshton Terrace at around 7-10am after the man was struck by a train.
Ambulance and fire services attended, but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Eshton Terrace and the track was closed until 10am.
