Lancashire Police said because it was a “minor injury” incident they were unable to comment further.
Pictures from the scene show the car on its roof with debris scattered across the road and items spilling out of an open door.
There also appears to be damage to the metal safety railings next to the road.
The Blackpool Road and Lea Road junction was closed for around an hour whilst police investigated and the vehicle was towed away.
