One person rescued from car following crash on M55 near Kirkham

Firefighters rescued one person who became trapped in their car after a crash on the M55 near Kirkham.

Three fire engines from Wesham, South Shore and Blackpool rushed to the scene of a collision on the M55 westbound between junctions 3 (Wesham Interchange) and 4 (Marton Interchange) today (November 11).

One person who became trapped in their vehicle following the crash - which occurred shortly after 4.40am - was rescued by firefighters.

They were then treated by paramedics at the scene.
