Motorcyclist taken to hospital with ‘head injury’ after rush hour crash on busy Preston road

A motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a car in Ribbleton Avenue at around 4.30pm on Wednesday (August 3).

One side of the road was closed near the entrance to Preston Cemetery while emergency services attended the scene.

Police said the motorcyclist suffered a “minor head injury” and went to hospital without the need for an ambulance.

Traffic was reportedly diverted down Burnside Avenue following the closure.
