Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash in Chorley

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with a number of injuries after a crash in Pilling Lane this morning (Thursday, October 15).

Police were called to the scene at 6.47am after the motorcyclist was injured in a crash with a Ford Transit van near the junction with Bolton Road (A6).

Pilling Lane was briefly closed whilst emergency services attended to the man, who has suffered arm, shoulder and leg injuries.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a Ford Transit van and a motorcycle in Pilling Lane, Chorley, at 6.47am today (October 15).

"The male motorcyclist has suffered suspected arm, shoulder and leg injuries and has been taken to hospital."
