M61 slip road closed in Chorley for emergency pothole repairs

The works affect the southbound entry slip road at junction 8 in Chorley.

A spokesperson for Highways said: "The M61 southbound entry slip road has been closed, due to emergency repairs at J8 (Chorley).

"Traffic is unable to head from the roundabout to join the motorway."

The closure is leading to heavy traffic and delays, with Highways advising that the slip road could remain closed until around 11am.
