M6 lane closure between junctions 27 and 28

A lane has been close on the southbound M6 between Leyland and Standish this morning (Monday, November 23).

The lane closure is in place between J28 (Leyland, B5256) and J27 (Standish, Parbold) to allow a fitter to safely change the offside tyre on a lorry.

Traffic Officers and a recovery team are at the scene, but the closure is not currently affecting traffic.

Highways say the closure is likely to be lifted by 11.30am.
