A car hit a cyclist in Cadley Causeway, near the junction with St Anthonys Drive, shortly before 3pm on Wednesday (January 19).
The cyclist - a man in his 40s - suffered "fairly minor injuries" but was taken to hospital as a precaution, police said.
The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, but it has since reopened.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service added: "We were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a bicyclist at 2.58pm.
"A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with non-serious injuries."
