All lanes were closed on the M6 northbound following a rush-hour crash near Preston.

Emergency services closed all lanes on the northbound carriageway between junctions 31 (Samlesbury) and 32 (Broughton) at approximately 3.45pm on Monday (July 18).
Motorists were urged avoid the area where possible and a diversion was put in place as the scene was cleared.
National Highways confirmed all lanes had reopened at around 5.20pm but 4.5 miles of congestion remained, resulting in delays of 45 minutes in the area.
